Cost Cutters stylist Faith Legros knew she wanted to be a hairstylist since second grade and has been doing it ever since. After getting her cosmetologist license in high school, Faith hit the ground running after she graduated working at several salons before finding the perfect fit at her current Cost Cutters salon in Kent, Ohio.
“The salons I worked at never really felt like home until I landed at Cost Cutters,” she said. “Then something just clicked. I knew I had found the perfect place for me!”
Faith feels incredibly supported from the training she receives and help from her fellow stylists. “My colleagues’ support, and training has helped make me a better stylist, she said. “I don’t think I would have succeeded and be at the level I am today without it.”
While Faith is skilled at performing all types of haircuts, color, and styles, she most enjoys men’s cuts and beard trims. She finds the most satisfaction in seeing her clients happy after receiving a fresh cut and color – she says, “when you look good, you feel good!” Faith recently had a client who came in with a poor color job and was at a loss for how to fix it. Faith reassured the client she could not only correct the color but had a vision for an incredible outcome! The final result left Faith’s client shedding tears of joy – “I think she hugged me 15 times because she was so happy,” she said.”
She would tell aspiring or new stylists to not get discouraged when they are first starting out in the industry. One day, things will just ‘click’ and all of the knowledge and experience will make sense where you can hit your stride.
In her spare time, Faith enjoys hanging out with her 7 siblings and helping out at her grandparent’s miniature horse farm.
