Currently working at the Supercuts in Elyria, Ohio, Pat loves the walk-in nature of the business that allows each day to be different. Some of her favorite styles to provide are cuts and perms as they can dramatically change an entire look!
“I have had so many memorable customers over the years,” Pat said. “From clients who beat cancer, brides, wedding parties and especially customers who I’ve been doing their hair for decades. I love what I do and have such a passion for it!”
Pat most enjoys the people she works with, meeting new people and the support she and her fellow stylists receive from their district leaders. She also gets satisfaction from knowing she has made her clients feel good and that they appreciate the work she is providing for them.
“Pat’s 50 years’ experience in the business helps her navigate through any issues, such as being short staffed or dealing with challenging clients, with such professionalism,” said Julie LaNasa, Alline Salon Group Territory Leader. “When Pat is on the styling stage, it’s with a happy face and it’s all about the client. Pat and her team keep a nice clean salon and have a welcoming atmosphere when you visit.”
As a true veteran in the industry, Pat advises young stylists who may be contemplating entering the field to visit several salons as customers and really get a feel of what it could be like to work as a stylist. She recommends envisioning yourself in their shoes and asking yourself if you think you could do what they do.
“Being a stylist requires great communication skills and a commitment to what you do,” she said. “Having a passion for this industry is what will make you last.”
