New stylist Analicia Rodriguez is loving her career at the Supercuts in Oregon, Ohio. While she has only been a working stylist for a little over a year, Analicia is extremely happy with her decision to work at an Alline Salon Group (ASG) salon.
“I applied right after school for a Stylist in Training position,” she said. “I loved the company, environment, and my salon so much that I never left!”
As she is just starting out in the industry, Analicia appreciates the access to continuing education provided by ASG, which has allowed her to gain real-world experience working with clients. She found herself needing extra support with men’s haircuts. Analicia appreciates that everyone at her salon has been helpful in showing her different techniques., They have supported her through training her on men’s haircuts, and she can now confidently provide this service for clients.
Taking walk-in guests has allowed Analicia to gain experience and start building her own clientele – with many repeat customers who now request her when booking services.
She most enjoys providing color services for clients, and always has fun with major transformations when clients want a big change from their cut or color. Her advice for new stylists is that it’s normal to be unsure of yourself at first, but to take comfort knowing that confidence is just around the corner. “It’s important to be open, to get advice from other seasoned stylists, and to continue your education,” she said.
When she’s not at the salon you can find Analicia spending quality time with her 11-month-old daughter.
