“I love coming to work every day,” said Janay, “We have always had a wonderful team and exciting work environment, and that’s what kept me coming back. I truly love my team, my leaders, and my clients. I feel like I’m making a difference in people’s lives.”
After graduating from cosmetology school, Janay began working at Holiday Hair as a full-time stylist. She currently serves as the salon leader and enjoys growing and building a team that is supportive, professional, and most importantly, has fun together.
Janay and her team have created a space that is not only inviting, but one that feels like home. In fact, many clients stay long after their service is complete just to talk and laugh with the stylists and fellow clients.
“Janay and her team greet each other and every guest with a smile,” said Kim Darst, Janay’s Territory Leader. “The work environment is positive and energetic – it’s impossible to be in a bad mood when you enter the salon!”
While Janay thrives in her role as salon leader, she also loves providing quality haircuts and color services for clients. She especially likes specialty color services like balayage and fashion colors, which have become more popular in recent years. She said that she is always looking to learn and expand her skills, even after being a stylist for 17 years. She emphasized that new stylists should always be willing to have an open mind and willingness to learn, especially from peers.
When Janay isn’t at the salon, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé riding Harleys and hanging out with their Great Dane, Ratchet.
