Taeseer has always had a passion for doing hair and was a stylist in her home country of Iraq for many years. After moving to the United States in 2001, she put her career on hold while she focused on raising a family. Now with grown children, Taeseer has been able to restart her career as a stylist working at the Supercuts in Warren, Michigan.
“I’m always learning – from finding new techniques on social media to taking tips from more experienced stylists. Everywhere I go, if I see something I like I must research it to advance my skills,” she says.
As a hairstylist, Taeseer has had many memorable interactions with clients. One that stands out is during an appointment with a woman who completed chemo treatment. “She had just beaten cancer and couldn’t speak. I performed her first haircut post-treatment as her hair had started to grow back. I could tell it was a special moment for her. It felt wonderful to see her so happy,” Taeseer recalls.
Beyond her passion for knowledge and kind spirit, Taseer is an all-around team player. As the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the industry in a monumental way in terms of staff shortages, Taeseer personally helped to recruit new stylists that resulted in four new hires for the salon.
“Taseer steps up to the plate to help in any way she can. We are so grateful to have her on our team and will always appreciate the wisdom she shares with us,” said her Territory Leader, Caryn McDonald.
In her spare time, Taeseer selflessly gives back to the community. Every other Thursday she volunteers her time at the Chaldean Foundation to provide free haircuts for individuals with special needs.
We are so proud to have Taeseer on our Alline team, she is truly ALL IN!
