Birmingham-based firm grows salon portfolio with purchase of 190 stores

  • Vision Growth Partners now has 260 salons in Midwest in its salon portfolio
  • Marks one of the largest sales to date for salon giant Regis Corp.
  • Birmingham firm says it has capacity to run 500 stores
Supercuts / Super C Group LLC plans to rebrand the 190 stores it acquired in April in Michigan and Ohio to Supercuts and Cost Cutters.

The world’s largest hair salon company completed one of its largest sales to date with a 190-store acquisition by Birmingham-based private equity firm Vision Growth Partners.

 

The equity firm’s Super C Group LLC purchased the salons from Minneapolis-based salon giant Regis Corp. in a deal signed last month. The addition of the stores — 13 in Michigan and the rest in Ohio — makes Super C Group the largest Supercuts franchise in the Midwest, said Michael Sarafa, managing partner of Vision Growth.  READ MORE
