Holiday Hair Stylist Janay Kendall

Cost Cutters stylist Kelly Rogers always goes above and beyond for her clients, said Jackie Cole, Kelly’s Territory Leader. That’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her customer service, as Kelly consistently strives to make sure every guest leaves the salon happy.

Like many of our other stylists, Kelly always had a natural talent and passion for doing hair. In high school she was the go-to “stylist” for her friends and family for special occasions like homecoming, prom or birthday celebrations. With the support and encouragement of her loved ones, she decided to turn her hobby into a full time career.

After graduating from cosmetology school in 2010, Kelly began working at a local salon where she moved up to management before relocating to the Norwalk, Ohio area. She has been working at Cost Cutters for the past two years, and has loved every single day.

“It doesn’t even feel like work,” she said. “I absolutely love it. I love the people, I love the environment, I love my customers. I look forward to coming to work every single day.”

Kelly recently had a touching experience with one of her young clients who has sensory issues. He has been coming to her every 6 weeks for a haircut, going slowly to get used to the process. Kelly hasn’t been able to use the clippers until a recent visit where he felt comfortable enough to try it. “After he was done I told him how brave he was and how big of an accomplishment it was to be able to use the clippers during his service,” she said. “He replied with a big smile and said I love you! I was so touched and cried for the rest of the day!”

Moments like these remind Kelly why she does what she does – it’s about the connections with people and having customers that feel like family.

When she’s not in the salon, Kelly teaches Sunday school where she is the Kid’s Director. To book an appointment with Kelly, click here.
