Despite only being at Cost Cutters for a brief four months, Cali England, one of the salon’s stylists, has already left an indelible mark on her leaders and peers.
Anne Marie Ruszkowski, Cali’s Territory Leader, attests to her invaluable contributions, stating, “Cali is a fantastic addition to our team. She consistently demonstrates flexibility by extending her shifts or covering for colleagues without hesitation. Her willingness to assist whenever needed is truly commendable.”
Prior to joining Cost Cutters in North Canton, Ohio, Cali honed her skills at several other salons, acquiring a wealth of experience along the way. Hearing positive reviews from former colleagues who had made the transition to Cost Cutters, Cali followed suit.
Reflecting on her time at the salon so far, Cali most enjoys the unpredictability of walk-in clients and the variety of service opportunities they present. “I really enjoy the spontaneity of walk-ins,” she said. “Not knowing what each day is going to look like has really allowed me to become a more well-rounded stylist.”
One such walk-in resulted in an unexpected connection for Cali, as she discovered shared roots and experiences with a client from her hometown. What began as a hair appointment blossomed into a meaningful friendship, leaving Cali convinced of the serendipity of the appointment.
Cali always knew this would be her career path, especially after growing up with a mom who was a stylist. Her favorite services to provide are “the difficult ones” she says, which include vivid color and color correction.
Beyond her hairstyling talents, Cali has a second passion as a musician, showcasing her skills on drums, bass, and vocals.
